When we started in 2022, we started out of a lack of political education in our modern school society. Then, we grew our membership base, and created a community where young people can express their views freely. Now, as well as bringing positive change to young peoples lives through our policies, we have built up a communal space, especially for young people. Multiple members are or have been Members of Youth Parliament, which means we have experts in the field of youth voice.
“My name is Boden and I’m from West Yorkshire, England. I joined the Youth Coalition for Change back in October and I’ve been active ever since. I joined because it was a new and unique opportunity to express my opinions about the problems young people face everyday! As Deputy President I help the President and Returning Officer decide on important changes that need to happen for the Youth Coalition for Change. One of the main issue for young people is the practically non-existent teaching of politics in schools. It is vital that we as the younger generation understand the society around us.”
“It was one of the proudest moments of my life to speak in the House of Commons!” Bill Curtis has commented. Bill wasn’t the only member to speak in the House on that day, Hamaam Shire -another member- also got to speak!
